Rhonda J. McCall is a native of Macon, Ga.  She moved to New York at an early age and graduated from Ossining High School, Ossining, New York and Pace University, New York City Campus, with a Bachelor's of Business Administration Degree.

She is a retiree of the IBM Corporation after 30 years of service.  While with IBM in New York, Rhonda worked in the General Accounting Department.  She accepted a two-year temporary assignment in Manhattan in the litigation department where she worked on various anti-trust suits against IBM.  After completion of this temporary assignment, she returned to Accounting, specifically Balance Sheet Accounting, handling the employee stock purchase plan for the entire United States operation.  She was later promoted to Senior Accountant in Income and Expense Accounting where she was responsible for the operating plan for the entire company. 

When she relocated to Massachusetts, she worked as account administrator and was responsible for ordering and installing high-end processors, mid-range processors and small systems in the finance and insurance industries in the Boston Branch Office.  Before her retirement in 2000, she was responsible for annual revenues in excess of $90 million.

Among her many achievements and awards are:

"    1990 IBM Means Service Award (all expense paid trip to Miami, FL and a cash purse)
"    Five Branch Manager Awards ($2,000.00 each)
"    Customer satisfactory letters and commendations from internal and external customers

Currently, she is unemployed.

Presently, Mrs. McCall serves at the Advisor to the Ellen Tyree Women's Missionary Society (WMS) and Young People's Department (YPD) of St. Matthew A.M.E. Church.  She also serves as the President of the Ministers' Spouses of the West Mainline District of the Philadelphia Annual Conference.  At Grant, Mrs. McCall served as the Advisor to the Elsie T. Joseph Women's Missionary Society (WMS) and Young People's Department (YPD) of Grant A.M.E. Church.  Other past positions include the Director of the Young People's Department for nine years, a member of the youth church and a member of the pastor's aid.

On the area level, she served as the Boston Area YPD Director from 1982 to 1987.  She became the Boston Area WMS Chairperson in 1987 and served in that capacity for nine years.  She has been a member of the missionary society for over 40 years; Mrs. McCall was elected as a delegate to the 1987, 1991, 1995, 1999 and 2003 Women's Missionary Society Quadrennial Conventions.  Rhonda attended the 2007 Quadrennial Convention in Philadelphia as a life member representing the First Episcopal District.

Rhonda was blessed to serve as the First Episcopal District Constitution and By-Laws Chairperson from 1992 to 1996; she became the First Episcopal District Second Vice President in 1996 and served in that capacity for four years.   She served for eight years as the Historian of the Connectional Ministers' Spouses and for eight years as the Connectional Representative for the First Episcopal District Ministers' Spouses.

In April 2000, Rhonda was elected to serve as the New England Conference Branch YPD Director.  She served in that position for four years and led the delegation to the quadrennial in August 2003 in Dallas, Texas.

She was elected the 3rd Vice President of the Women's Missionary Society of the First Episcopal District in November 2004 and continues to serve in that capacity. 

In June, 2005 she was elected as the Financial Secretary of the Connectional Ministers' Spouses and served four years in that capacity.  She also served several years as the President of the New England Conference Ministers' Spouses Alliance, and as a life member of Church Women United, Boston Chapter.

In April, 2006 just before the opening of the 155th Session of the New England Annual Conference at Grant A.M.E. Church, in Boston, MA (Rhonda's home church at that time), on the New England Conference Annual Missionary Day, Rhonda was awarded her Life Membership of the Women's Missionary Society of the connectional church by the Connectional President, Mrs. Jamesina Evans, our First Episcopal District Supervisor, Mother Mary A. Norris and our First Episcopal District President, Mrs. Carol Kirkland-Fubler (now deceased).

In June, 2009 Rhonda was elected the treasurer of the Connectional Ministers' Spouses   Organization.

Reverend and Mrs. McCall are the proud parents of four lovely daughters - Robina Lynette, age 30; Janine Marie, age 28; DeAnna Mercedes, age 26; and Rolanda Celeste, age 24.  Robina is a graduate from Howard University's five-year architecture program and works for an architecture firm in Houston, TX.  She is married to Charles Shepherd, II and they are the proud parents of Charles Shepherd, III (age 5) and Vanessa Lynn (age 2).  Janine received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Howard University in May, 2004 and her Master's of Divinity Degree from Howard in May, 2007.  DeAnna is a graduate from Howard University with an undergrad degree in biology and she received her MSW from Howard in May, 2008.  Rolanda received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Howard in May, 2009.
